Jean Burnez saw this monument as a symbol of the company and Prunier products were sold there between the two wars.  It is in the 70s that it was acquired by the company and since has had many lives.

An example of architecture from the Middle Ages, the Old House, also called the Lieutenant’s House, is one of the protected historical monuments in the town of Cognac.

Shop for classical music, record players and loud speakers, a cobbler’s shop ….  And today Prunier has reinvested the premises with a boutique with free entrance. The Lieutenant’s House is open from May to September. Tuesday - Thursday: 10.30-12.30 , 14H - 19H. Sunday : visits by appointment

THE OLD HOUSE
Entre passé et présent, la Vieille Maison incarne l'héritage familial.
Between the past and present the Old House symbolizes the family heritage. A heritage which encourages one to look towards the future and is resumed in the Prunier motto –“Old House, Old Cognac”.
Elle symbolise à elle seule la maxime de la Maison Prunier :
"VIEILLE MAISON, VIEUX COGNAC".
